As of right now, the Coronavirus has taken 908 lives in China, more lives than the SARS outbreak took back in 2002 and 2004.
Additionally, about 40,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus, and about 6,500 of those affected are in critical condition. On Sunday, February 9th, the virus claimed 97 lives, the most in one day since the outbreak began.
Britain has announced that the virus has been labeled a “serious and imminent” threat as four more cases were confirmed, bringing their total number of infected up to eight.
The Coronavirus might also affect any upcoming vacations in the following weeks leading into the spring season as cruise ship cases have already doubled and left almost 4,000 people quarantined on the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan.
