Planning ahead can seem like a big task. However, in the long run, you will be glad you did, as it is very important to plan. Ultimately, planning ahead can lead to less stress at the end of the day.
Take a college student for example, they know they have a big exam coming up, so if they plan ahead, they can set aside times and days to study the material that will be on the exam. This leads to the next point: planning ahead can lead to better results. If the college student plans certain days to study, they will not have to cram all of the material the night before the exam and will have more to think through all the material, thus leading to better results and less stress.
Planning ahead is especially important in examples such as planning an event or a wedding. You will want to plan far in advance: it alleviates stress, leads to better results, and more importantly, you have more time to anticipate problems that might occur or catch any problems that you might find in the planning process. Whether it be a seating chart or an issue with the venue, finding these problems and being able to fix them well in advance will lead to less anxiety as the day gets closer.
Finally, planning ahead helps you fulfill goals and saves time! Planning for the future can help you prioritize what you want to do and help you get it done. If you have a plan in motion, you know what you have to get done, so you can go ahead and do it instead of wasting time thinking about it. Going back to the college student, doing well on their exam is their goal, planning how to do that with help them accomplish that goal, and if they plan their study time, they will also have time to accomplish other things that they might have to do. And to come to full circle, you will feel less stressed.
