Job fair @ Downtown Central Library, Wed., Jan. 29, 2020

Free access to job search resources and recruiters from 40+ employers

The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library’s downtown Central Library, 1 Lafayette Square, Buffalo will host a Job Fair featuring 40+ employers from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.  This event provides job seekers the opportunity to network with recruiters from local and national organizations, as well as easy access to library career and employment resources.  Attendees are encouraged to dress for success and bring copies of their resume.  The Job Fair is free and open to the public.

Alongside the job recruiters, the Library’s TechKnow Lab team will be on hand to assist with tech-related tools to meet the needs of job searchers – such as printing resumes, converting paper resumes to digital formats, uploading and emailing resumes and researching prospective employers and businesses.

“The Library is proud to connect job seekers with career opportunities spanning a broad range of industries including education, healthcare, government, manufacturing and insurance, with organizations ranging from local non-profits to international corporations,” said Library Director Mary Jean Jakubowski.  “We are pleased to use our role as a community hub with multiple resources to help local residents build stable, fulfilling careers.”  For a full list of participating Job Fair employers, click here: https://buffalolib.libcal.com/event/5979283. Additionally, the U.S. Census Bureau will be recruiting on-site Wednesdays and Sundays.  There is a special Census weekend recruitment event from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 and 12 noon – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26.
